Biography:
Chris Perret, B. Comm, AACI, CBV, is a Partner and Senior Valuation Consultant with MNP’s Financial Advisory Services team. Active in valuation and consulting on a broad range of tangible and intangible assets since 1998, Chris has worked with business operations in a number of industries throughout North America. He has also appeared as an expert witness at the Municipal Government Board and Land Compensation Board.
Focused on helping clients achieve their goals, Chris’s expertise includes the preparation of business and real estate value estimates for a variety of purposes. He has also provided value estimates on individual intangible assets such as client and supplier relations, patents, trade names and trademarks, and contracts. He has significant experience in valuation for financial reporting, completing goodwill and long-lived asset impairment tests, and purchase price allocations in business combinations. Additionally, he has completed fairness opinions to advise stakeholders whether a transaction proposal is in their best interest from a financial point of view.
Chris was designated a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) in 2005 and an Accredited Appraiser of the Canadian Institute (AACI) in 2002. He is a long-time volunteer for community and professional organizations, including being a member of the Standards Committee of the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
